In
the slings being launched Spring of 2004 with new Kirby's dark blue
paint! (I have an extra gallon that goes with the boat)
Sitting
on her mooring, Starboard side.
Wide
shot of port side with mountains and ugly boats in background.
Sailing
with the Genoa up in 8 knots. You can see she is a masthead rig with
plent of sail area to make her go.
Side
shot on a tight reach. 4 are very comfortable in the cockpit, and
6 can fit without any problems.
Reaching
away from the camera after a wonderful evening sail.
Heading
to her mooring.. Roshika is a dream to sail in these conditions. 4
of us enjoyed an evening sail with wine and cheese. The perfect way
to wind down after a day at work.
3/4
shot of the bow. You can see that the anchor "pulpit" extends
out on the starboard side.
Straight
on shot of the bow.
In
the slings and ready to launch spring 2004.
The
builders plate. Design # 536-A
Hull # 881
A
slightly dusty hull ready for launching. For some reason this photo
is distorting her lines. Roshika hasn't hogged in any way!
Her
cockpit shot from the aft deck on a nice summer sail. In conditions
like this she will steer her self.
Heeled
over beating up wind in 18 knots on a nice summer day. Fun stuff!
Another
windy day with 4 friends in the cockpit. (It was cold and rough but
we had a great time)
Average
Speed for a beat upwind...good stuff. I have had her up to a steady
8.9 knots on a reach.
The
engine panel with the engine running. She has a few more hours since
this picture was taken (500). The engine runs like a top, has lots
of power and is very smooth.
The
main hatch is very well constructed and looks great. This hatch has
a cover to protect it from sun and rain. The cabin top has been re-painted
since this photograph was taken.
Looking
forward in the evening.
Two
new plank sections replaced in bow. Here she is in gray primer.
This
is back when she was painted white. Looking nice in a slip.
Right
before getting hauled she has had her mast pulled.
On
a trailer ready to be shipped to Vermont from Maryland. Kentech Marine
did a great job.
The
transom of Roshika back when she was white and had a different name.
On
her mooring when she was still painted white. I left this image large
so you can see rigging details as well.
